Removing Your Personal Details From Publicly Available Company Documents

Who does this affect?

Are you involved with a Limited Company as a director, secretary, PSC or are you a member of an LLP?  Are your personal details publicly available online?  Companies House is now making these individuals aware of a change in data suppression laws which will enable the removal of their home address from publicly available company documents.

How to apply

You should request an application form from Companies House by calling 0303 1234 500 between 8:30am – 6pm Monday to Friday.

When you receive the form, you should fill it in and send it with evidence in support of your application and a cheque for the fee to the Registrar of Companies. Make the cheque payable to ‘Companies House’.

Companies Houses says it is not possible to use this process to remove a home address if the applicant has used it as a company’s registered office.
